Noorani Qaida Online UK — Learn Arabic Reading the Right Way from Day One
The essential first step before reading the Quran. Live, one-to-one Noorani Qaida classes for children and adults across the United Kingdom — taught by an Ijazah-certified tutor who is the same person from your very first lesson to your last. Available 7am–10pm, seven days a week, from London and Birmingham to Manchester and beyond.
What is Noorani Qaida and why does it matter?
Noorani Qaida is the foundational course every Quran student needs before they begin reading the Quran itself. The course was developed to teach Arabic letter recognition, correct pronunciation (Makharij), and the basic rules of Quranic reading in a structured, proven sequence. Learning noorani qaida online in the UK has become the most effective route for British Muslim families — giving children and adults access to Ijazah-certified tutors without the constraints of local class times or geography.
Before a student can recite a single verse of the Quran correctly, they need to be able to:
Noorani Qaida covers all of this — step by step, in a proven sequence that has produced strong Quran readers across the UK for generations.
Noorani Qaida is not just a book — it is the gateway. Get it right here and everything that follows becomes easier.
Noorani Qaida is for everyone starting from the beginning
This course is designed for complete beginners. Whether your child has never seen an Arabic letter before, or you are an adult who has always wanted to learn and never known where to start — your tutor will meet you exactly where you are.
Children aged 4 to 14
Starting early gives children a significant advantage — their pronunciation adapts faster, their memory is stronger, and habits formed now last a lifetime. Our Ijazah-certified tutors are trained specifically to work with young learners, keeping sessions encouraging, age-appropriate, and structured around each child's attention span. Children aged 4–7 have 30-minute sessions; older children move to 45 minutes as their focus develops.
- Has never learned Arabic before
- Attended a local madrassa or group class but did not make progress
- Tried apps or YouTube videos and struggled without live correction
- Is ready to begin their Quran journey with a dedicated, qualified teacher
Adults learning for the first time
Many of our UK students are adults — in their twenties, thirties, forties, and beyond — who never had the opportunity to learn Quran properly when they were younger. There is no age limit, no embarrassment, and no rush. Your Ijazah-certified tutor works entirely at your pace in a private one-to-one setting where you can ask anything without hesitation. Evening slots from 7pm–10pm are specifically popular with working adults.
- Are a complete beginner with no Arabic reading knowledge
- Can recite Surahs from memory but cannot read the script
- Want to finally learn properly after years of meaning to
- Were raised Muslim but never had consistent Quran education
New Muslims beginning their Quran journey
If you have recently taken your Shahada, Noorani Qaida is your starting point. You do not need to know anything about Arabic. You do not need to have any existing Quran knowledge. Our tutors have extensive experience teaching reverts — understanding the questions, the context, and the pace that works best for someone beginning Islam fresh. Your journey starts here.
- Are a revert to Islam and want to read the Quran for the first time
- Have recently taken your Shahada and need structured Islamic education
- Want a patient, non-judgmental tutor who understands your starting point
Students who tried group classes, apps, or madrassas and plateaued
Group classes, apps, and inconsistent teaching are the most common reasons students stop making progress — or give up entirely. If your child attended a madrassa or group class for months without noticeable improvement, the problem is almost certainly the format, not your child. One-to-one live teaching with a consistent Ijazah-certified tutor changes the outcome entirely.
- Your child attended a local madrassa for 6+ months with little to show for it
- You or your child tried a Quran app and found it didn't stick
- Your child had multiple different teachers and never built a proper foundation
What Noorani Qaida covers — stage by stage
The course follows the complete Noorani Qaida syllabus in sequence. Each lesson builds directly on the previous one — nothing is skipped, nothing is rushed. Every stage below has a clear outcome so you know exactly where your child (or you) stands at any point in the course.
Stage 1 — Arabic letters (Huroof)
Learning all 29 Arabic letters in their four written forms — isolated, beginning, middle, and end of word. Special attention is given to letters that look similar but sound very different (for example, ح and خ, or ط and ت), which is where most beginners develop lasting errors without a qualified teacher to correct them immediately.
Stage 2 — Vowels and short sounds (Harakat)
Introduction to the three short vowels — Fathah (a), Kasrah (i), and Dammah (u) — and how they change the sound of a letter. Students learn to read letters with vowels fluidly, without pausing between sounds.
Stage 3 — Joining letters into words
This is where real reading begins. Students learn to connect letters into full words, understanding how letters change shape depending on their position and how sounds flow together naturally. This stage is where one-to-one teaching makes the biggest difference — errors here compound if left uncorrected.
Stage 4 — Long vowels, Tanween and Sukoon
The rules governing elongated sounds (Madd), double vowel endings (Tanween), and letters with no vowel sound (Sukoon). These are essential for correct Quranic recitation and form the bridge between basic reading and proper fluency.
Stage 5 — Shaddah, Madd, and connected reading
The final stage covers doubled letters (Shaddah), the full rules of lengthening (Madd), and continuous connected reading — where the student reads longer passages without stopping between words. This stage confirms the student is ready to begin reading the Quran itself.

One Ijazah-certified tutor from start to finish
You are matched with a single Ijazah-certified tutor from your very first lesson. That tutor does not change. The same teacher follows your progress across every stage of the Qaida — knowing exactly where you left off, which sounds you find difficult, which approach motivates your child, and how to keep progress moving without rushing.
This is fundamentally different from group madrassa classes, where a new teacher in September means re-learning everything the previous teacher assessed. Continuity of teaching is one of the most underrated factors in Quran learning progress.
Live correction in real time — the most important thing
The single biggest problem with learning Noorani Qaida from a book, an app, or a group class is that nobody corrects your pronunciation at the exact moment it goes wrong. A mislearned Makhraj (articulation point) becomes a deeply ingrained habit within weeks — and habits like these can take years to unlearn.
In every live session, your Ijazah-certified tutor watches you read, listens to every sound, and corrects each pronunciation error the moment it appears — before it becomes part of how you read. This is why students who have been in group classes for a year often make more progress in eight weeks of one-to-one lessons.
Built around UK family life
Classes run every day from 7am to 10pm UK time — before the school run, after school, evenings, weekends, and through school holidays. You choose your regular slot and it is yours every week. If you need to reschedule, 24 hours' notice means a free reschedule. No rigid timetables. No commute. No missed lessons because of traffic or weather.
Session length by age:
- 30 minutes — ideal for children aged 4–8
- 45 minutes — recommended for children aged 9 and up
- 60 minutes — the most popular option for adult learners
Monthly progress reports for UK parents
Every month, parents receive a written progress update via email or WhatsApp covering:
- Which stages of the Noorani Qaida have been completed
- Specific letters or rules your child is working on
- Practice recommendations for home revision
- The expected timeline to complete the remaining stages
You always know exactly where your child stands. No guessing, no vague reassurances.

Frequently asked questions — Noorani Qaida online UK
Noorani Qaida is the foundational course that teaches you how to read Arabic letters before you begin reading the Quran. Without it, most students either memorise without understanding what they are reciting, or develop pronunciation errors that become deeply ingrained and take years to fix. It is the essential first step — and getting it right with an Ijazah-certified tutor from the start makes every subsequent stage of your Quran journey faster and more accurate.
Yes — and many of our UK students are adults. Learning Noorani Qaida as an adult is different from learning as a child, and our tutors adjust their approach accordingly. Adults often progress faster than children because they understand the logic of the rules more readily. Evening slots from 7pm–10pm UK time are specifically popular with working adults. There is no age limit.
Most children aged 5–10 complete the full course in 4–8 months with 3–5 lessons per week. Motivated adult learners typically finish in 3–6 months. 92% of our students complete Noorani Qaida and move on to the Quran Recitation course within 6 months. The pace is always set by the student — your tutor will never move forward before you are ready.
No prior knowledge is needed whatsoever. The course starts from absolute zero — the very first Arabic letter. If your child can sit and focus for 30 minutes, they are ready to begin.
Yes. Every Noorani Qaida tutor at our UK academy holds Ijazah certification in Quran recitation, has undergone DBS background checks, and has completed UK safeguarding training. You can review individual tutor profiles and qualifications on our website before your first lesson. Child safety is not a secondary concern — it is built into every hire we make.
For one-to-one teaching, yes — and in several ways more effective. Your Ijazah-certified tutor can hear your pronunciation clearly via Zoom, correct errors in real time, and give you their complete, undivided attention throughout every session. Without the distractions of a group class or the commute to a physical madrassa, most students progress faster online. Our data supports this: 92% of students complete the course within 6 months.
Once a student completes Noorani Qaida they move directly into the Quran Recitation course — reading the Quran itself from the beginning. Some students also begin studying Tajweed rules alongside recitation to ensure their pronunciation is correct from the start. Your tutor will assess readiness and recommend the right next step based on your individual progress.
During your free trial we assess your child's current level and match them with a tutor whose teaching style and experience best fits your child's age, pace, and personality. You will see your tutor's profile — including their qualifications and Ijazah certification — before the lesson begins. If after a few sessions you feel a different tutor would be a better fit, we arrange that at no cost and with no awkwardness.
